Hey, I'm having problems trying to run the game. do you know how to make the game run?

(+2)

Me and a few of my friends all played through this and we all came to the same conclusion. For a whole month of work, this is probably the greatest game ever created(okay, maybe not, but it's still very impressive). I love the PS1 aesthetic and the controls, while a bit floaty, are very enjoyable. The amount of freedom you have when it comes to movement is very refreshing and it kinda reminded me of Mario 64. The Yo-Yo is great and really makes this game unique compared to the(relatively small) number of 3D platformers out there. I'd love to see something like this expanded into a longer game.

I keep on trying to open the game with Internet Explorer and whenever I select "Open" it opens a small page that immediately closes. Can anyone help?

When I plug in my PS4 controller, the camera just keeps spinning around Noid. I've also tried it with DS4Windows and it still happens. Any tips?

Make sure you don't move you sticks while the controller is connecting, that could be your issue.

I tried mapping the controls to a separate controller, but screwed it up. Now it's permanently messed up unless there is a way to reset the controls to default that i missed. I have already tried deleting it and re downloading. Please help

Praise
Hey, really enjoyed almost every aspects of the game. Level design, music and sfx, platforming physics, etc.  Really captured the best elements of games back then and today.

Error/Bug
There was one big error I found in  Domino Dungeon. At the top level are 3 doors, 2 purple, 1 red that are all accessed via the alternating wall jumping. 1 purple opens a door that seems to lead to an unfinished outside section of the level that does not provide a key, 1 purple door with a red key behind it, and the red door which has the pizza box to complete the level. However, in order to get to the 2nd purple door with the key, you must pull a level right next to the 1st purple door to the unfinished level.
On my first attempt of the level, I used a key to open the 1st door before the 2nd and was stuck because there was no way to navigate the incomplete portion and I could not find any extra keys within Domino Dungeon. I had to exit the game and try DD a second time, but skipping that first door completely and pulling the lever next to it in order to  access the 2nd purple door.
Not sure if that 1st door is bugged, or I missed something that allowed me to navigate the first door, but still is a problem either way because the level can completed by just using a normal key on the 2nd purple door and gaining the red key.

Really look forward to more work from you guys!

It sounds like you missed a key. Happy to see you did an alternate strat for the dungeon though 8)

I'm just curious, but has the dice not spawning during the final boss glitch not been fixed yet? I first downloaded the game when it came out, and this glitch caused me to stop playing for a couple weeks. I downloaded it again today and copied the save data file into the new version and the glitch is still occuring.

Have you guys thought of making a level editor for this?  this game seems like it could benefit off of that sort of thing

When I started the Game, The entire screen was pink. I could still play but through the pinkness, it would be foolish. Help.

Could you list what GPU and OS version your system has?

I have OS version 1511 of windows 10 pro using an Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.0.

Were you using a keyboard or a controller?

A bit of a question but, can we expect updates to this game in the future? i really am hoping so, i can see this game with alot of potientail for alot of things, including potential enemies and several bosses as well

I hope so too, it is such a fun game that could be even better with only length added to it.

Having a lot of fun with it, but my game never saves (Mac version).

It saves with PlayerPrefs, right?  I can't find it in the Library.

When I get in the game the camera keeps revolving around Noid and I can't stop it or move the camera.  Any help?

What kind of controller are you using? Have you tried unplugging any second controllers you might also have plugged in?

I'm using a PS4 DualShock 4 but I also have a drawing tablet plugged in. And after unplugging it in I still had the problem and realized it was my mouse that was pulling down and after pushing up on the mouse the camera would change BUT when I let go of the mouse (and it was completely still) it would go back to revolving while looking up. Also now I have another issue where I changed some of the controls and I can't reset them to default so there are some actions like jumping, that I can't do.

Honestly I'm just glad that dumb fricking pizza-eating-contest from the first game didn't make it here.

Dabbing aside, this is probably the most faithful late-90's-styled game I've played. Everything from the character design to the music to the warping textures to the CRT filter to the 4:3 aspect ration and so on made me feel like this was a game that was ripped straight out of the fifth generation. Heck, it even made me kinda seasick at times. That should be a complaint but I have that problem with games from the era, lol.

My only real complaint is that part of the Domino Dungeon where you have to climb the room before the door that you opened in the other room slides closed. The camera and the swinging mechanics just don't want to cooperate in that spot.

Everything else was top-notch. There were a few spots where I got stuck, but once I figured them out I got that "Oh duh" feeling I'd get from a game like Portal rather than the "How the actual hell was I supposed to figure out that I was supposed to be killed by that pterodactyl in particular" Crash Warped feeling.

The ending was pretty great. Too.

I recorded a quick video of your game, if you'd like to check it out!

I seem to be having a bit of a problem with the downloading for the windows build, Every time i try to get it to work it seems like the Utorrent virsion of it says

Unable to load "noid_windows.rar":
unknown error!

and its the same message every time, i can't download it for mac cause it won't work since i got a windows computer. is there any other way you can get the download to something different other then Utorrent? or anyway to suggest to fix this? id kindly appreciate it and hope to hear soon as possible.

Rar files are similar to zip files. They compress the files to a more manageable size. If you wanna open it you'll need a program like 7zip or winrar.

(1 edit)

Alright, so i should download the mac version then? cause as i said before the Utorrent one doesn't appear to work for me no matter how many times i try it.

Hi! I'm really excited to give this game a try, but I can't seem to get it to work! Every time I get to the intro cutscene, the music plays but the video doesn't, and when it loads the first level, the music plays but the game crashes. I'm not sure what's causing it, as the menu plays perfectly every time I load the game. Is there any way I can send you folks the crash log?

I hate this game. I can't get past the stupid temple because there's a timed part and I can't make it up to the stupid door before it closes. This game requires precision platforming with imprecise controls.

In the second room, wall run to the right and try to spam the yoyo to grab the rafters. Then do some swings + wall jumps to make it to the top no problem. Play the other levels before taking on the temple if you haven't already.

When I started up the game and went to the first level, all of the platforms were a bright pink, do you think you know what the problem is?

Some here, I think that an option to disable gfx filter effect could solve this issue.

Why is this game so good?

I've seen a video of this and it looked amazing and solid. Downloading right away.

One question though: could you offer a Linux download too, please? I'm fairly sure the Windows build will work with Wine, but natively compiled versions of games tend to work a little better, especially when it comes to controller support.

Edit: yeah, gamepad support is right out when using Wine, also weird performance issues where the frame rate goes to <1 FPS occasionally for no reason :(

(+2)

So the game is fantastic for the few minutes I could play! haha

However, I'm unable to bind any inputs to my controller, and the Yo-yo abilities aren't functioning.. I downloaded the MAC build and overtime i try and set inputs for my PS3 controller, a pop up titled "Input Configuration"comes up with the phrase "Press the button or key for [ACTION]" and it appears to have a loading animation in the window and it doesn't stop when I press a key or button.  Do you have any idea whats going on?

I have the same problem. Pls Help.

Incredible game, Music and sound on point (as the kids say), and Domino dungeon has level design to rival the water temple! (both that it's hard, but also incredibly well thought out.)

Unfortunately, I closed the game half way through Domino Dungeon and was not warned that door unlocks aren't saved, If you don't have the time to save door and switch positions, maybe a warning for that level when you're about to quit, it's pretty long.
Oh, and a link to this might make the ending more satisfying Domino's App feat. M」.

But seriously, you have all outdone yourselves, I guess 2017 really is the year for good 3d platformers.
Simply fantastic work team! The new arcane kids are in town.

Fantastic game! Thanks so much for doing this gamejam. I hope that, eventually, those pepperonis and C.D.s add up to something. Maybe a True Ending or the like.

I can only hope this becomes an official Domino's game and gets ported to N64 or PS1 :-)

Incredibly believable game - watched Vinny's stream of it and even after the glitched guy talking about how everyone's trapped in the system, I still couldn't tell if this was seriously a lost PS1 game or not until I clicked the link and saw the itchio page stating it wasn't :P

Lots of people has said this already, but you've done an amazing job on this!

Hey, I made an account to ask a question here because I can't seem to find any contact info for you guys, nor can i find any fixes for this on google, anywhere.

I tried to rebind a control or two for my game-pad in the "input" tab on the unity launcher and after doing so my controls no longer work.  The game seems to automatically reset my movement keys to the d-pad, backwards.  The yoyo-button either won't bind to the key i bind it to, or it will, but automatically stop working half-way through playing, and the dab button seems to be attached to an "axis," on the triggers and gets the noid stuck in the animation forever unless i release it very slowly.  The dab thing isn't too important, but the other controls are legitimately not working and it's rendered the game completely unplayable.  I've tried deleting it and redownloading the game from here but the controls are still saved, despite me being unable to find any "noid" or "unity" labelled things on my pc that would store these presets.

Can you help me fix this?  I was excited to try this out and it's frustrating me that i can't play it due to these bugs.

(+2)

So digging a little deeper into this, looks like other people have run into similar problems with other Unity games. It looks like on Windows Unity stores player preferences in the registry... which seems asinine to me. I don't know how comfortable you are with editing the registry but it appears you'll have to go in there and either edit it or just delete the keys related to input from there then just restart the player:

"On Windows, PlayerPrefs are stored in the registry under HKCU\Software\[company name]\[product name] key, where company and product names are the names set up in Project Settings."

I'm incredibly sorry for the inconvenience.

I'll look into this and see what I can do.  In the mean-time, I just about managed to get something playable going. It's not ideal, but even if I can't figure this out I should be able to play.  Thank you for the quick response!  And good luck to you guys on any future projects, this has been pretty fun so far.

I'm having this issue too. Do you know what the Company Name and Product Names are for this game?

(+1)

what you want to do is type regedit into the search bar and open it

then you go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Sofware\noid.pizza\Yo! Noid2: Enter the Void

from there, you can just highlight all the controls and delete them, and the next time you open the game they will be back to default.

(+2)

This game is legitimately incredible and I hope members of the team will consider working with each other again to produce a fully original 5th-gen 3D platformer that we never knew we wanted.

You guys are all immensely talented -- thank you for putting this together.

(+1)

Absolutely great game. Honestly, it's one of the best 3D platformers I've ever played.

You guys should add a Linux build. As for gameplay, each level should have time rankings and a pizza counter. It would give incentive on collecting pizzas and speedrunning.

(+2)

There are some problems when we build out to Linux, but it's something I definitely want to support. I'll update with more info if it becomes available.

This game is awesome! Are you still working on it more or is it FINISHED finished? Will you be making a manual? What are the pizza coins for? And how do I beat the Domino Dungeon, aaagh!?

(+1)

Forget the Domino Dungeon. The final boss is nearly IMPOSSIBLE with a keyboard, and I don't own any compatible controllers... ;n;

Yeah I gotta agree with that, that final boss took me like 17 minutes and it wasn't really the best time either.   I still had a fun time though with the rest of the game and I've been playing it a lot these past few days!

My biggest questions are if the coins have a use, and if this will have either a sequel or an expansion because it is awesome!

the 'ronies say "pizza" when you collect them and that's their purpose

(+1)

Hello! Love this. I kind of wrecked the control inputs trying to get an 8bitdo pro controller mapped. It ended up not working well anyways with the joysticks not behaving correctly. Don't really expect a fix for that, but would be nice to be able to reset the inputs to default! That or edit the input names as I'm not sure which I actually need. Playing with a 360 controller now and not sure if I'm missing buttons.

I played through the game but a soft lock keeps happening at the end where dice will not spawn after avoiding the floor traps. Its happened twice now at different parts of that level. Its a decent game for what it is but I will not be able to finish it until that bug has been fixed.

Our apologies for the inconvenience. We are working on a patch to address this, alongside many others issues with the game. Please stay tuned!

There is an issue with the game not detecting my controller. It can detect the joysticks, but everything else doesn't respond. I am using a macbook, if that is of any help.
